Harry Floyd Young Jr., 77, of Green County, Ky., died Sunday, July 6, 2008, at Jane Todd Crawford Hospital in Greensburg, Ky.

Son of the late Harry Young Sr. and Mathie May Kidd Young, he was a painter, a cemetery custodian and a gravedigger.

He was married to Katherine Stapleton Young, who preceded him in death.

Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Dennis and Carolyn Young of Greensburg; three daughters and sons-in-law, Dalena and Danny Duncan of Auburn, Ky., Darena and Howard Warren of Greensburg and Kathy Lynn and Mike Davey of Dandridge, Tenn.; a brother, Truman Young of Greensburg; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a son, Steven Young; a great-granddaughter, Briley Faith Jones; and four brothers and a sister, Carmon Young, Thomas Randall Young, Norman Dean Young, Clalon Floyd Young and Margy Aline Young.

Funeral was Wednesday, July 9 at Foster-Toler-Curry Funeral Home in Greensburg. The Rev. Kerry Yates officiated. Burial was in Wilson Cemetery in Green County.

Pallbearers were David Hodges, Doug Young, Thomas Young, Robert Young, Anthony Young and Jerry Dile.

Honorary pallbearers were Ray Hall, Todd Bloyd, Nelson Pickett, Billy Jones, Cliff Pruitt, Vernon Bagby and Dean Blair.
