Pneumonia fatal to Union City woman.
Mrs. Cyrus M. Thompson,a lifelong resident of Union City, died Friday afternoon from pneumonia following a brief illness at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Mary E. Baumann, in Detroit, Mich. The deceased,widow of Cyrus Thompson, former superintendent of the Union City East Side schools and associated form many years with what is now the Permanent Savings and Loan Assoc., had been visiting for the past few month with her daughter. Before going to Detroit, she had been making her home with her cousin, Mrs. C. C. Fisher, 526 North Howard street, Union City.
Mrs. Thompson was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Cornelius Van Nuys.
The remains will be returned to Union City Sunday,where they will be taken to the C. C. Fisher residents, where friends may call after 7 p.m. Funeral services have been set tentatively for Monday,with definite arrangements pending the arrival of the daughter in Union City.
(Funeral services were conducted at the Fisher residence on Monday at 2 p.m. with Rev. J. Floyd Seelig, pastor of the Union City Methodist church in charge. Burial was made in the Union City cemetery.)
