Sam Bradshaw is Dead in Richmond

Son of Mr. G. Sam Bradshaw of this city dies after a few weeks illness.

The news of the death of Sam Bradshaw, the son of Mr and Mrs. G. Sam Bradshaw of this city was recieved by friends early this morning. He died last night at 11 o'clock in a hospital in Richmond, Va., where he had been for a week. The telegram announcing his death was received by his father, a well known attorney here, at midnight last night and after the departure of the train on which he could have gone direct to Richmond. No Member of the family was bedside when the end came, because it was believed by them that his condition was markedly improved. A cousin-in-law, Mr. Charles Sisson, lives in Richmond, and a brother-in-law, Mr. R. T. Rosemond, of Fayetteville, left at once for the city.

The deceased was well known in Greensboro, where he was born and reared. He had a great number of friends. For more than a year he had been making his home in Fayetteville and had been assistant manager of the Hotel Rosemcut? there. He had settled in his work and was fitting in admirably as a hotel man, when he became ill. That was about six weeks ago. He spent five weeks in a hospital in Fayetteville and was then moved to Richmond. Last Saturday his parents had a letter from Richmond, assuring them that his condition showed improvement. Today another letter, written later, arrived speaking of his alarming decline. This communication was not received until after the telegram arrived announcing his death.

The deceased was 28 years of age. He will be buried here. The funeral arrangements had not been completed this morning and will not be until the hour of the arrival of the body is determined. It is anticipated, however, that the services will be held tomorrow morning at 11 o'clock. The pallbearers have been chosen. They are Messrs. A. B. Joyner, John Ricks, J. P. Bradley, Will Rhodes, Duke Robbins and Dr. CHarles Wheeler.

A brother of the deceased, Mr. John Bradshaw, who is in business in Houston, Texas, was notified of the death and wired his parents that he was leaving at once for Greensboro.
