Principal Clapp, who came home from Ellington Thursday evening, left his wife and daughter at his father's in Ellington, where they will stay until after the spring vacation, which will begin on April 1st and close on the 9th, and which Mr. Clapp will spend in Ellington. His mother, who died on the 11th at 11:50 p.m. of pneumonia, following a year of suffering with angina pectoris, aged 65 years, and whose maiden name was Philinda Eigenbroadt, was born and spent all her life in Ellington. In 1867 she was married to William Henry Clapp, who with one son, LaFayette, and two daughters, Mrs. E. L. Steadman and Miss Ethelyn Clapp, both of Ellington, survives her. She also leaves two brothers, LaFayette and D. J. Eigenbroadt, and two sisters, Mrs. Dennis Boyden and Mrs. J. M. Anderson, all of Ellington. The funeral was held on Wednesday at 2 o'clock.
