Funeral service for the late Mrs. Harry Murphy who died in the John Warner hospital at 4:20 o'clock Tuesday morning, will be held Thursday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at the Christian church with Rev. J. Wayne Staley, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn cemetery.
Ethel May [Mae] Bell was a daughter of Jay Bell of Clinton and Mrs. J. G. Weddle of Decatur. She was born in Clinton, Jan. 26, 1897, and lived here the majority of her life. On Aug. 15, 1921 she was married in St. Louis Mo. to Harry Murphy. Besides her parents and husband she leaves one brother, Arthur M. Bell and the following aunts and uncles, Mrs. Charles Gideon, Mrs. Flora Lowe, Nora Shadowens, Lena Gash, Henry Blue and [Mrs.] J. V. Smith of Clinton and George Blue of Decatur.

CLINTON - Ethel Mae Murphy, 30, of Clinton departed this life Tuesday, July 19, 1927 in Clinton. Funeral services will be Thursday , July 21 at Reeser Funeral Home with burial in Woodlawn Cemetery.
Ethel was born in Clinton January 26, 1897 the daughter of Jay W. Bell and Ollie Mae (Blue) Bell. She married Harry Murphy.
Survivors include her husband Harry, father, Jay Bell, mother, Ollie Weddle, stepfather, Jerry Weddle and one brother Arthur M. Bell. An infant brother George W. Bell preceded her in death.
