Funeral services will be held in the Canova Congressional Church Monday at 2pm for Mrs. Dean C. Trippler, 65, wife of Senior Publisher of the Canova Herald, who died at her home Thursday. The Rev. Virgil Hicks of New Underwood, a former Canova pastor, will conduct the services. Mrs. Trippler was a member of the Congressional Church for 50 years. Her death was the result of cancer. She had been ill since February.
Annie Helen Clough, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. F. Clough of Canova, was born March 2, 1895 in Hallowell, Maine. She came to Canova as an Infant and this was her home the rest of her life. At the time of her death she was the oldest continual resident of the town. She was married June 20, 1917, to Dean C. Trippler, then as now; publisher of The Herald. They had four children who survive. They are: Francis, Knowles and Paul Trippler, all of Canova; and Mrs. C.M. Christensen (Katherine) of Omaha. A sister, Mrs. Ethel McCaffree of Kirkland, Wash., and seven grandchildren also survive.
