"MUSEUM MINE OPERATOR DIES

Michael A. Murphy, 11233 St. Lawrence, died Monday evening at his home. He was born in Dublin, Ireland, Aug. 18, 1890 and had been a resident of Roseland the past 10 years.
Mr. Murphy was employed by the Museum of Science and Industry and was one of the operators of the coal mine exhibit at the museum.
He was the brother of Catherine Murphy, Margaret Murphy, and Mary Burns. Two brothers, Christopher and James, preceded him in death.
Services will be held Thursday at 9:30 a.m. from the Cooney Mortuary, 12 E. 112th pl., to Holy Rosary church where mass will be solemnized at 10 a.m. Interment, Holy Sepulchre cemetery."
