SERVICES TUESDAY FOR JESSE BROWNING

Funeral services were held Tuesday at Riddell's Chapel in St. Francis for Jesse William Browning, who died Nov. 8, 1972 at the Veterans hospital in Grand Junction, Colo., following a lengthy illness.
Included among his surviving relatives are a brother, Lester, and a sister, Mrs. Doris Anderson, both of St. Francis. Mr. Browning was well known in the area and had made his home with his brother Chester at Parks, Nebr.
Interment was in the St. Francis Cemetery. A complete obituary appears elsewhere in this issue.

OBITUARY OF JESSE WILLIAM BROWNING

Jesse William Browning, eldest son of John and Lucinda Pearl Browning, was born April 10, 1909, at Hayes County, Nebr., and passed away November 8, 1972, at the age of 63 years, six months and 29 days at the Veterans Hospital in Grand Junction, Colo., after a long illness.
On May 12, 1927, he was united in marriage with Marie Harms at Kearney, Nebr. To this union six children were born: Donna Ruth, Jimmy, Raymond, John, Shirlene and Richard. Shirlene and Richard preceded their father in death.
He spent most of his married life in Greeley and parts of Nebraska. The last ten years he made his home at Hotchkiss, Colo. He came back to spend some time with his brothers and sisters and made his home with his brother at Parks, Nebr., for the past few months.
He was preceded in death by his father and mother; three sisters; one brother; one son and one daughter.
He is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Donna Ruth Stephenson of Denver; three sons: Jim of Colorado Springs; Raymond and John of Tulsa, Okla.; three sisters: Mrs. Doris Anderson of St. Francis, Mrs. Lola Zimbelman of Eugene, Ore., Mrs. Dona Miller of Caldwell, Idaho; four brothers: Laverne of Denver, Donald of Leads, South Dakota, Lester of St. Francis and Chester of Parks, Nebr.; 11 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
He served time in the Armed forces and left the service with an honorable discharge.
He will be sadly missed by his relatives and many friends who knew him by his friendly smile and sunny disposition.
