They had a daughter, Clara, born in Fogelsville on October 11 1836, as well as four other children, Henry, Joseph, Allen, and Sevella.

In 1842, the Scholls moved to Newburg in Northampton County, where they lived for about four years. Sometime around 1846, they moved to Hecktown where they established the family homestead near what is now the Hecktown Cemetery.

Griffith Scholl continued to practice medicine until six weeks before his death on June 8, 1882 at 82 years of age. His wife, Clara*, died at the family homestead on Feb. 1, 1885. A daughter, Mrs. Valentine Heller (Sevella) contined to live on the original family homestead after the death of her parents.
