WEST LAFAYETTE: Blaine Edgar Brenneman, 85, of CR 5, died Tuesday October 23, 2012 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Zanesville.

He was born March 5, 1927 in Grantsville, MD to the late Oscar and Mary (Humbertson) Brenneman, and his late step-mother, Lois (Addy) Brenneman.

He was married to the late Dolores (Burch) Brenneman, who passed away in Aug. 1967.

After her death he married the late Ruth Jean (Wheeler) Brannon Brenneman, who passed away in Aug. 1987.

He graduated from Warsaw High School in 1945. He served in the US Navy "Seabees" during WWII from 1945-1946 in the Asian Pacific Theater.

He retired from the Western & Southern Life Insurance Co. in 1985 after serving as an agent and associate sales manager. He was a member of the Warsaw Presbyterian Church since 1942, serving as an elder, deacon, and trustee. He also served on Warsaw Village Council, was a member of the Warsaw Masonic Lodge #255, a 32nd degree Mason of the Valley of Cambridge, member of the V.F.W. Post #1330, and AmVets Post #36.

He is survived by a son, Randy Brenneman of Coshocton, two granddaughters; Sandy (Brent) Carter of Coshocton, and Amy Endsley of Columbus, three great-grandchildren, four step-children; Christine (Brannon) Gilmore and her husband Robert Gilmore of Coshocton, Dana (Brannon) Ross and her husband Timothy Pete Ross of New Albany, Kathleen (Brannon) Roahrig and her husband Sam Roahrig of Coshocton, and Michael (Erica Aloe) Brannon of Fayetteville, NC, several grandchildren and great-grandchildren, a brother, Robert (Ilene)Brenneman of Coshocton, a step-brother, Leroy (Mary Ellen) Williams of Coshocton, and his close friend and fiancé, Betty McCarty of West Lafayette.

In addition to his parents and wives, he was preceded in death by three brothers; Harold, Merle, & Ray Eugene Brenneman, a sister, Clodaugh Cline, a step-sister, Betty (Williams) Adams, and a daughter-in-law, Deborah J. (Simmons) Brenneman.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 27, 2012 at the Fischer Funeral Home in Warsaw with Pastor Tim Thomas officiating.

Burial will follow in Valley View Cemetery, with graveside military rites performed by the Coshocton Co. Joint Veterans Council. Calling hours are from 4-7 p.m. on Friday, with a Masonic service at 6:45 p.m.
