Maxine Jewel (Boswell) Noe, 94, of Pittsburg, died at 6:09 p.m. Saturday, November 25, 2006, at the Cornerstone Village, where she had been a resident for the past 3 1/2 years.

She was born March 13, 1912, at Noel, Missouri, to Jack Carl and Nolia Edens Adcock. She moved to Pittsburg with her father in 1917. She attended area schools.

On May 31, 1933, she was united in marriage to Leo E. Boswell, and to this 42 year union was born four children. Mr. Boswell preceded her in death in September 1975. She married Alex Martino in February 1984 and they resided in Belton, Missouri. He preceded her in death in August 1986. In April 1991, she married Roy Noe and they resided in Farlington, KS.

Maxine was a homemaker and worked for many years at the Pittsburg State University Student Union as a cashier. She retired in 1984.

She was a member of the Assembly of God Church and later the Lighthouse Tabernacle church in Pittsburg.

Survivors include two sons, Carl L. Boswell and his wife, Linda, of Springfield, MO, and Johnny N. Boswell and his wife, Evaughn of Arma; a daughter, Linda A. Hendrich and husband, Leroy of Russell, KS; seven grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded by her parents, one daughter, Carol Jean on April 7, 1936, two sisters, Thelma Coble and Nanille Bailey, two brothers, Curtis Adcock and Jack Adcock.
Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday (Nov. 28) at the Garden of Memories. Burial will follow the services. The procession to the cemetery will leave at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday from the Brenner Mortuary. Friends may call from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. today to sign the register. The family suggests memorials to the Cornerstone Village Activity Fund. These may be left at or mailed to the Brenner Mortuary, 114 E. 4th St., Pittsburg. Arrangements are under the direction of the Brenner Mortuary, Pittsburg.
