James Harrison Lafferty, 73 of Moss Point, MS, passed away Tuesday October 30, 2012 in Collins, MS. Mr. Lafferty was born in Vossburg, MS, on January 20, 1939. He served in the United States Air Force, retired from the Civil Service and worked in the shipbuilding industry as an Engineer Technician. James was a member of Escatawpa Baptist Church. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father and grandfather.

He was preceded in death by a son Michael Lamar Lafferty, his parents, Harry John & Edna Pearl Lafferty and two brothers, Robert Clayton Lafferty and David Nelson Lafferty.

Survivors are his wife of 55 years Evelyn Grace Lafferty, a son James Granville Lafferty, grandchildren Andrew Kelly Lafferty, Elaine Anne Lafferty and Loraine Dawn Lafferty, a sister Lynda Lafferty Morgensen, a brother Danny Lamar Lafferty and a host of family and friends.

A visitation will be held Saturday November 3, 2012 from 10:00-11:00AM at Heritage Funeral Home in Escatawpa, MS. A service will begin at 11:00am in the chapel at Heritage Funeral Home with Rev. Todd Bowen and Rev. Danny Lafferty officiating. Graveside Services will follow at Serene Memorial Gardens, with military honors provided by the American Legion Post 160, Pascagoula.
