Darrin S. Miller, 44, of Sevierville, TN, passed away unexpectedly at his residence, on Sunday, October 28, 2012.
Darrin was born in Somerset, PA, on September 1, 1968, to LeRoy D. Miller Sr. and S. Jean Tinkey Miller, and lived in the Mansfield area most of his life. He was an avid Steelers fan, and enjoyed dirt track races, and loved to wrestle with his kids, nieces, nephews, and friends. He would tell them that he needed to "toughen" them up, and was famous for the "fish hook" move. He also enjoyed fishing, going to garage sales and flea markets, and cooking, especially taking pride in his famous sausage gravy and biscuits.
He is survived by four children, Darrin Miller Jr., Allen Miller, and Debra Lee Miller, all of Mansfield and Dominick A. Henry of Sevierville, TN; six siblings, Shirley A. (Greg) Wintz, LeRoy D. (Deb) Miller Jr., William R. (Traci) Miller, Daniel W. Miller, David L. (Sue) Miller, Dennis E. Miller; one granddaughter, Ailayah Ann; his mother, S. Jean Miller of Mansfield; his best friend, Jimmie Huffman, mother of his children and his friend, Tammy Barker Miller; and numerous nieces, nephews, and many friends.
Darrin was preceded in death by his father; one sister, Debra L. Miller; and his brother-in-law, Chad Whitmore.
Calling hours will be from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Friday, November 2, 2012 at Werner-Gompf Funeral Services, LTD., 1106 Park Avenue East (St. Rt. 430E), Mansfield. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor James Spencer officiating. Burial will be in Mansfield Cemetery.
