Robert Dray, 85, died Saturday morning at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Florence Dray. Death followed a stroke of apoplexy. Robert was born in Jefferson County, but spent most of his life on his farm near Carrollton. He was a member of the Carrollton Reformed Church and of the Washington Hall Grange. He was the son of the late Andrew and Alice Dray.
Surviving is the daughter at whose home he died; three sons, Elmer of East Liverpool, Harry of Canton and Alvin of Carrollton. His son James Dray (1872-1929) preceded him in death.
Burial was in Grandview Cemetery.
He was married to Elizabeth Jane Martindale on March 27th, 1870 and together they had one son James (1872-1929). This relationship ended in divorce and he later married Atlanta M. Townsend on January 24, 1874, 4 children were born of this union. Elmer C Dray (1875-1951), Alvin Lester Dray (1878-1964), Florence Emma Dray (1880-1960) and Harry G. Dray (1882-1970)
