Sam Lindsey, age 79, former Wellington resident, died Wednesday, Feb. 3, 1999 in Alice. He was born in Hagerman August 24, 1919 to Sam and Mattie Lindsey. He served in the Army and while stationed in Fayetteville, Arkansas, he attended the University of Arkansas. Following his discharge from service, he returned to Wellington and lived here for several years. He later lived in Odessa, Tyler and Alice, retiring from Hy-Drikl Corporation, Odessa. He was a member of the Methodist Church. He married Nadine Good in 1960 in Corpus Christi. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Dean Lindsey. Survivors include his wife of the home; two daughters, Jan Stallings of Lubbock and Patsy Hicks of Corpus Christi; two sons, Jim Lindsey of Amarillo and Rodney Good of Corpus Christi; Three sisters, Lola Stafford of Goliad; Dortha Coleman of Amarillo and Edith Young of Banquette; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
