William, immigrant ancestor, from near Cookstown, Derryloran Parish, Tyrone County, Ireland, was a minor child in 1736. He and his family resided in Bethlehem Township, Hunterdon County, New Jersey. William died late in 1794 or Jan 1795 (will proved Feb. 1795.) He was a member of the Bethlehem Presbyterian Church. His will names Eleanor, his wife, grandsons William and Malcolm and granddaughters Martha and Rebecca (children of deceased son Andrew)and daughters Martha Crawford and Eleanor McDaniel.
"Elder Abbott Fleming, says of his great grandparents:
'William Fleming and his wife lived in Bethlehem and died there, and are buried in the old graveyard near Bethlehem church at what date I know not, but there are four generations of Flemings in a row, including my oldest sister Eleanor.
