WINTER, GEORGE PERCY_ August 30, 1920 June 30, 2005 It is with great sadness that the family of Percy Winter announces his passing after a lengthy and courageous battle with cancer.

Percy is survived by his sister, Nelda; two sisters-in-law, Ruth and Kay and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Percy was born in Regina to George Robert and Janet Mary (Ormiston).

He was predeceased by his brother, Jim; sisters, Merle and Mary and brothers-in-law, Bill, Peter and George.

Percy served in World War II as a Flying Officer in the RCAF attached to RAF Ferry Command from 1941 to 1945 and saw service in the UK, Europe, Africa, USA and South America. In 1953 Percy joined Trans Canada Airlines (TCA), which became Air Canada. He was with Air Canada until his retirement in 1980.

His family wishes to extend heartfelt appreciation to Percy's family physician and good friend, Dr. J. Stewart McMillan for his exceptional care. A very special thank you to Dr. James Carter for his caring heart and gifted hands. Sincere appreciation is also expressed to Dr. I. Aboo and Dr. J.D. McHattie.

We also wish to thank the staff of Palliative Home Care Services and the Palliative Care Unit, Pasqua Hospital for their compassionate care. We extend our appreciation to family and friends for their thoughtfulness and support.
