Naturist and professor. Prestigious wise from Tucuman which laid the foundations of natural sciences in Argentina. Specialized in botany, he was nevertheless a good writer on having devoted itself to other branches of the science, especially the chemistry and the zoology. He devoted himself to the scientific investigation alternating with the education in public investigations. His contribution is relevant to the knowledge of the trees of Argentina and of the botanical family of the compound ones. He bequeathed his home for establish there the School of Natural Science of National University of Tucumán, the Miguel Lillo Foundation and the Miguel Lillo Museum, who's a place where is exhibited a very complete and varied collection of native flora and fauna.
