Death's Second Visitation
"Andrew Isaacson, who for twelve days had suffered from a large carbuncle, before seeking the aid of a physician, died at the Sanatorium (Placerville) Saturday last (21 Oct 1911), following an operation to save his life if possible form blood poisoning, thought the physicians were convinced when he was taken to the Sanatorium on Thursday that he was beyond earthly help. Funeral services were held Monday at 2 p.m. from the Methodist Church, of which Mr. Isaacson was a member, the pastor, Rev. S.J. Buck, officiating.
Interment was in the Union Cemetery beside his son Ransome, who died only two weeks ago following a short illness. This is the third misfortune that has befallen this family within a few weeks, as, prior to the death of the eldest, a younger son was bitten by a rattlesnake, and his life was saved by heroic measures after the case had seemed hopeless. Much sympathy is felt for the widow, who, with two young daughters and four sons left to mourn her husband and eldest son."
