Born on November 4th, 1918, to James Emanuel Nation and Mary Emma Hagger in Perryville, MO. After completing her education, Dorothy met and married Walter Clarence Chesley and worked as a homemaker all of her life. Walter preceded her in death on May 22, 1992. Dorothy and Walter enjoyed gardening and canning, and she had been known to say that he wasn't to plant any bigger garden. She also enjoyed pinochle and crocheting. A trip to Walmart was always a big part of her life. Dorothy was raised Presbyterian, however as of late she listened to church on the radio.
Dear mother and mother in law of Dale B. and Judy Chesley, Donna L. and Orrin Martin, Sandra S. Chesley, and Wayne C. and Cindy Chesley. Dear sister of Russell Nation and Juanita Oesch. Dear grandmother of 9 and great grandmother of 12. Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brothers and sisters, Jewelle Topps, Ruth Buschman, Hilda Vaughn, Alma Henderson, Mildred Dimicelli, Ethel Hutton, and James Nation.
