Funeral service for Margaret Louise Segrest, 85, of Dadeville is 10:00a.m. Saturday, November 3, 2012 at The 10th Street Church of Christ. Minister Claude Flynn is officiating. Burial will be held in Garden Hills Cemetery. Visitation is Friday from 5-7 p.m. at Jeffcoat-Trant Funeral Home.
Mrs. Segrest passed away Wednesday, October 31, 2012. She was born November 20, 1926, and was a lifelong resident of Lee County. She was a member of The 10th Street Church of Christ in Opelika from 1954 to 2001. She then attended services at Willow Creek Church of Christ in Auburn. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother whose heart was centered on God, home, family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, S.J. Segrest in 1999. Survivors include her sons, S.J. (Dianne) Segrest, Jr. of Loachapoka, Wayne (Sherrie) Segrest of Tuskegee, Jimmy (Susan) Segrest of Rutledge, GA, Tony (Renee) Segrest of Auburn; daughter, Brenda (Stanley) Pritchard of Auburn; two brothers, Marvin Dubose of Loachapoka, Doyle Dubose of Opelika; 12 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandchild.
