Caroline Elizabeth Kamerzel, 84, of Scottsbluff, died Monday, Oct. 29, 2012 at the Golden Living Center.
Her funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 2, at Jolliffe Funeral Home in Scottsbluff. Interment will be held at Sunset Memorial Park in Scottsbluff. Caroline was born April 1, 1928 in Scottsbluff to David and Elizabeth(Gunther)Schmer. She graduated from Minatare High School, and later married Elmer Kamerzel Feb. 22, 1948. They had one daughter Jennifer who was born on Feb 27, 1965. She loved to bake, made beautiful flower arrangements, was a member of the German Choir, loved all sports and was an avid Nebraska Cornhusker fan. Caroline worked at ABC Nursery where her and Elmer were Mr. and Mrs. Clause. She was also employed by the Presbyterian Church. Survivors include her son-in-law, Rick Patterson; brother-in-law, Willard and sister-in-law, Anna Mae Kamerzel; sister, Eldora (Albert) Reifschneider; sister-in-law, Helen Schmer; nephews and nieces, Dean (Shari) Kamerzel, Kim (Karla) Nelson, Kirby (Carol) Nelson, Kory (Helen) Nelson, Cindy (Frank) Costa, Nora Kuxhausen, Alice Kovarik, Delores Deyer, Jim Schmer, Bob (Karen) Schmer, Jan (Bruce) Murphy, and David (Jean) Schmer. Her parents; husband, Elmer; daughter, Jennifer; brothers, Carl (Louise) Schmer and Harry Schmer; sister, Esther (Manuel) Schaub; sister-in-law, Gloria Nelson and nephew, Bill Reifschneider preceded Caroline in death.
