Mr. James D. "Donald" Gautreau, died Tuesday, October 30, 2012. Mr. Gautreau was 82 years, 2 months, and 21 days old. He was the son of the late Sully and Lucille Gautreau. Mr. Gautreau was a 1948 Gonzales High School graduate. He later worked in the electricial and construction fields in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He joine dhte Air Force during the Korean conflict and served in the 35th Air Division. After the war, he went to work for International Brotherhood of Electricial Workers (1955-1957); then in 1957, he worked for Gillis W. Longs Hansen's disease Center as a Facility manager, until his retirement in 1995.
He was a member of the St. Theresa Choir and was an avid golfer and loved baseball. He was a member of the United States Air Force Baseball team and had played a semi-pro ball. He was also a member of the American Legion.

Mr. Gautreau was preceded in death by his parents; 1 sister: Mona Braud; and 1 precious granddaughter: Daphne Danna.
He is survived by his wife: Loris (Landry) Gautreau; his children: Michelle Gautreau Danna and her husband: Dominick E. Danna Jr. and David Gautreau and his wife: Lisa; 1 brother: Rickie Gautreau and his wife: Theresa; his wonderful grandchildren: Dominick E. Danna III; Austin and Grant Gautreau; other relatives; and many dear friends.

Mass of Christian Burial was held on Saturday, November 3, 2012, at St. Theresa Catholic Church in Gonzales, Louisiana. Rev. Alec Sheldon and Rev. Than Vu, officiated the service. he was laid to rest at Hope haven Cemetery in Gonzales.
