A collection of memorials for those who created, managed, and worked for the American Whaley Engine Company, in Boston, MA.The American Whaley Engine Company of Boston, 136 Federal Street, Room 605, was owned and operated by William Burroughs Smith Whaley. They made low compression Heavy Duty oil-gas-engines for marine and stationary applications. Engines went from 10 to 6000 H.P.The company would have been in operation from about 1900. It went out of business about 1930. There was a article written in June 1918 by Andrew Paterson from the "The Rudder". Mr. Whaley owned a plant in Portland, Maine and warehouses in NY. His main business location was in Boston.
