WAUNETA — Faye Rueter, 81, Wauneta, died Saturday (Aug. 27, 1994) at Chase County Community Hospital in Imperial.
She was born Sept. 17,1912, in Wauneta, to Charles E. and Florence Eva (Workman) Johnston. She graduated from Wauneta High School in 1930 and the University of Nebraska at Lincoln. She taught in the Wauneta Public Schools for eight years.
On Oct. 4,1941, she married Lawrence Rueter at Wauneta. They lived on a farm southeast of Wauneta.
She was a member of the United Methodist Church and Order of Eastern Star. She loved to read and travel.
Preceding her in death were parents; one brother, Virgil B. Johnston; and two sisters, Zepha Fisher and Charlene Kitt.
Survivors include her husband of Wauneta; one son, Marc Rueter and wife Anne of Ann Arbor, Mich.; one daughter, Marcia and husband Ed Leritz of Bozeman, Mont.; and four grandchildren.
Services were held at Wauneta United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Marvin Coffey officiating.
