An outgoing sports enthusiast, she could hit a baseball and throw a football better than most guys. Known as "Gibber" by all her friends in school, Kathy loved to dance, play her records and drive her car. After graduation from high school Kathy married James L. Stracner. To this union were born six children, two sons and four daughters. Sadly this marriage ended in divorce in 1976 and Kathy went on to raise her children on her own. Devoted to her duties as a mother she worked hard, often sacrificed much and raised six children to adulthood.
A cerebral embolism took Kathy at the young age of 44.
