Home for Visit, She Dies of Heart Attack
Funeral services for Mrs. Arlene McQuary Andrews, 41, who died enroute to the Houston Hospital after suffering a heart attack at the home of Mrs. J H Andrews near Woodland, Miss., Tuesday afternoon, about 2:30 were held from Hill's Funeral home Wednesday afternoon at 3:30.
The Rev. Arlis Bryant of Woodland had charge of the services. Interment will be in Oak Wood cemetery, Corsicana, Texas upon arrival. Hill Funeral Home is in charge.
Mrs. Andrews whose home is in Corsicana, Texas, had arrived at the home of Mrs. J H Andrews, her mother-in-law, near Woodland only thirty minutes before her attack. She had come to Chickasaw county where she was born, to visit other relatives, and had planned to visit her brothers, Lias and Ardell McQuary, in Memphis, whom she had not seen for four years.
She was a member of Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church in Chickasaw county.
She leaves her husband, H E Andrews of Corsicana, Texas; one daughter, Mrs. Dorothy Fay Farmer, and three sons, James Carl Andrews, Ervin Lee Andrews and Charles Ray Andrews, all of Corsicana; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. M M McQuary, of Woodland, Miss.; five sisters, Mrs. J W Lancaster of Woodland; Mrs. B E Nichols of Houston; Mrs. U C Hines of McComb, Miss.; Mrs. R L Harmon of Bankok, Thailand, and Mrs. C P Thrasher of Starkville, Miss.; four brothers, Oren McQuary of Houston; Lias McQuary and Ardell McQuary of Memphis, and Robert Earl McQuary of Peoria, Ill.
