Clarence was born and raised in German Ridge, Perry Co. Indiana to Jacob and Mary Lauer. Clarence married Helen Merriman on November 21, 1935 at Tell City, Perry Co., Indiana. They have two daughters, Dorothy and Dianna, and their son, Charles Lauer.

Funeral services for Clarence C. Lauer, 50 years old, 2110 North Talbot Avenue, will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Feeney & Feeney Meridian Funeral Home, with burial in Floral Park Cemetery.
Mr. Lauer died Saturday at Methodist Hospital.
A native of Rome, Ind., Mr. Lauer had lived in Indianapolis 17 years. He was an employee of the Indianapolis Power and Light Company.
Survivors include the widow, Mrs. Helen Lauer; a son, Charles Leonard Lauer of Indianapolis; two daughters, Mrs. Dorothy Ware and Miss Dianna Lauer, both of Indianapolis; three sisters, Mrs. Amelia Cleland of Greensburg, Mrs. Edna Keubler of Evansville, Mrs. Gertrude Champion of Indianapolis; three brothers, Armin Lauer of Jackson, Mississippi, Alfred Lauer of Fort Wayne, Indiana, and Norman Lauer of Tell City, Indiana, and three grandchildren.
