Mary Louise Marner, 82, of Kokomo, passed away at 9:40 AM, Thursday, October 18, 2012 in St. in St. Joseph Hospital, Kokomo.She was born October 22, 1929 in Miami County to the late Ernest Zook and Marine (Shrock) Zook. In 1950, she married Simeon L. Marner. He preceded her in death on September 25, 1993. She was a 1948 graduate of Greentown High School. She was employed as head cook at Eastern Elementary for 24 years. She was a member of the Howard Miami Mennonite Church, loved to play euchre with her friends, and enjoyed her grandchildren.
Survivors include two sons, Michael K. (Kathleen) Marner of Loveland, OH, Edward S. (Stacy) Marner of Greentown; one daughter Patricia S. Marner of Plevna; five grandchildren Stephanie, Samantha, Colby, Clayton, and MacKenzie.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, also one brother Oren Zook.
Funeral services will be 10:30 AM, Tuesday, October 23, 2012 in Howard Miami Mennonite Church. 3976 E.C.R. 1400 South, Kokomo. Lee Miller and Ben Schlagel will officiate. Burial will follow in Mast-Hensler Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4-8 PM Monday at the church; also one hour prior to services on Tuesday at the church. Memorials may be directed to the Howard Miami Mennonite Church or Susan G. Komen for the Cure. Envelopes will be available at the church.
