Mrs. Capps had been a homemaker and had worked for Kraft Foods in Champaign, Illinois. She graduated from New Ross High School with her long time friend, Linda Harris Collins, in 1957.
She was a caring mother of three children who survive : Dusty (D'Shay) Oaks, Louisiana; Dixie (Jon) Addler, and Barb Wells (companion Brian Scaggs), both of Crawfordsville. She was also a loving grandmother of 9 surviving grandchildren: Lisa, Michelle, Nikki, Megan, Emily, Morgan, Macy, Brooke, and Cody; and 5 great grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husbands, she was preceded in death by 2 brothers: Elmer Edward and Elmo Oaks; as well as a sister: Irene Oaks Johnson.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 13, at Noon, at Powers-Priebe Funeral Home, Crawfordsville. Burial will be in the New Ross Cemetery. Friends may call at he funeral home on Saturday from 11:00 AM until Noon.
