JANESVILLE/MINERAL POINT — Frances Elizabeth Argall, of Janesville, WI, passed away peacefully at her home, surrounded by her loving family, on Monday, Nov. 8, 2004, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born on Jan. 24, 1934, daughter of Ruth (May) and Ernest Schaaf, and was raised in rural Mineral Point, WI. She graduated from Mineral Point High School with the class of 1952. Fifty-one years ago, on Aug. 8, she married Jim Argall at St. Paul's Catholic Church in Mineral Point, and in the next ten years they were blessed with nine children. She worked alongside her husband in the bar and restaurant business at area establishments and also owned and operated the Sportsman Bar and the Royal Inn in Mineral Point. She retired to Janesville in 1986, where she continued to serve her much loved family that included 25 grandchildren, creating beautiful, happy, and forever cherished memories. She is survived by her husband, Jim; 9 children and 25 grandchildren: Dan and Amy of Cedarburg and their children: Brenna, Alyssa, Evan, Lacey, Claire, Jon and Bridgette; Denny and Carrie of Norfolk, VA, and their daughter, Marianne; Bill and Jill of Libertyville, IL, and their children, Ryan and Caroline; Greg and Becky Carey of Mineral Point and their children, Kimberly and Danny; John and Tammie Holzhuter of Janesville and their children: Jamie, Jared and Michaela; Kevin and Jill of Minneapolis, MN, and their son, Charlie; Kim and Joyce of Neenah and their children: Eric, Nick, Abby, Gabe, Amanda and Bruce; Craig of Madison; and Dave and Carly Zentmyer of Middleton and their children: Christina, Gregory and Julia. She is also survived by 3 brothers: Joe Schaaf, Dave (Joyce) Schaaf and Kenny (Bonnie) Schaaf; 4 sisters: Sister Ruth Mary, Mary Theresa (Pat) Murphy, Rosemary Schaaf, and Cathy (Al) Mayo; a brother-in-law, Alfred Argall; a sister-in-law, Roxie Pepper; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; and an infant sister, Mildred. Family and friends may call on Thursday, Nov. 11, 2004, from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. at GORGEN FUNERAL HOME, 310 Ridge St., Mineral Point, WI, where there will be a Rosary at 8:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, Nov. 12, 2004, with visitation at 10:00 a.m., at ST. MARY'S & ST. PAUL'S CATHOLIC CHURCH in Mineral Point. Burial will follow in St. Paul's Cemetery.Frances' greatest joy in life was her family. Her legacy of motherly love will never be forgotten.
