Glenn was born July 12, 1932 in Muncie to the late Charles L. and Bertha L. (Huxhold) Conner. Glenn graduated from Muncie Central High School in 1950 and went on to serve in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. He earned four medals during his service to his country. He married Judy A. Johnson on July 23, 1955.
He retired as a sheet metal journeyman from Delco-Remy in 1985 after 31 years of employment. He also worked as an orderly at Ball Memorial Hospital as a second job while working for Delco-Remy. After his retirement he went to work for Duffy Tool and Stamping and retired again in 2003. Glenn was a member of the UAW local 662 and the American Legion Post 19.
Glenn is survived by his loving wife, Julia A. Conner; four children, Phillip, Elizabeth, Janet, and Brian; two brothers, Charles and Marvin Conner; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Glenn is preceded in death by three brothers and one sister.
A funeral service to celebrate Glenn's life will be 2 p.m. Thursday, July 16, 2009 at Elm Ridge Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Elm Ridge Memorial Park. Friends and family may gather to share and remember one hour prior to services from 1-2 p.m. Thursday at Elm Ridge Funeral Home.
