FROSTBURG — John Clancy Rupp, 92, of Frostburg, died Thursday, Oct. 11, 2012, at Western Maryland Regional Medical Center.

Born Feb. 3, 1920, in Wood, Pa., to the parents of John Rupp and Anna (Williams) Rupp; he is preceded in death by his parents; wife Alma (Yantz) Rupp; a sister, Bronwen (Rupp) Fuller and a nephew, Richard Fuller.

Mr. Rupp was a member of Frostburg Welsh Baptist Church and was a retired equipment operator with the Cumberland Engineers Local 37. He was a member of Farrady Post 24 American Legion and a World War II Army Veteran Tech 4 in the 62nd General Hospital that served in France.

Surviving are a sister, Barbara (Rupp) Everline, of Frostburg; a brother-in-law, Richard Fuller, of Frostburg; numerous nieces and nep-hews; great-nieces and great-nephews.

Friends and family will be received at Durst Funeral Home P.A., 57 Frost Ave., Frostburg, on Sunday, Oct. 14, 2012, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m.

Funeral services will be conducted in the funeral home on Monday, Oct. 15, 2012, at 10 a.m. with Pastor Jim Jeffries officiating.

Interment will be in Frostburg Memorial Park.

Pallbearers will be Frank Yantz Jr., Frank Yantz III, C.J. Yantz, Dewey Stafford, Jason Hensel and Carl Albright. Military honors will be accorded by Farrady Post 24 Honor Guard.
