Charles Hayes--- Charles L. Hayes, 95, died Monday at Mercy Hospital, Iowa City. Services are Thursday at the Ralph J. Wittich Funeral Home. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery. Mr. Hayes was born Aug. 23, 1890 in Bracken County, Ky. and had lived here since 1921. On Nov 6, 1915 he married Angie Bloomhuff at Mayville, Ky. He was a 50-year member of the Elks Lodge. He had been a boiler operator at Muscatine Power & Water for 33 years, retiring in 1957. He is survived by a sister, Nellie B. Riggs, Augusta, Ky. Preceding him in death were his wife in 1955, one brother and four sisters.
