Arnold Alexander Crihfield, 96, of Spencer, West Virginia died October 2, 2012 at the Miletree Center.

Arnold was born July 20, 1916 in Jackson County, West Virginia a son of the late Roy Columbus and Elizabeth Crihfield. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Swannie Westfall Crihfield; stepmother, Janie Crihfield; two grandchildren, Angela and Pippen; and an infant sister.

He was the owner and operator of Crihfield Motors in Spencer and formerly served as a county commissioner. He enjoyed farming, was a US Navy veteran of World War II and was a member of American Legion Post 21.

Arnold is survived by four sons, Charles of Charleston, West Virginia, Keith of Cape Coral, Florida, Gary of Spencer, and Roger of Sarasota, Florida; and five grandchildren, Rodney, Tara, David, Melissa and Bud.

Service 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 6, 2012 at the TAYLOR-VANDALE FUNERAL HOME, Spencer, with Rev. Larry Jones officiating. Burial will be in the Mt. Herman Cemetery in Harmony, West Virginia. Visiting hours are from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
