Karla Kay Oglesby, 50, St. Joseph, died Friday, August 31, 2012, at Nodaway Nursing Home, Maryville, MO.

Karla was born March 30, 1962, in Maryille, to Elaine (Simmons) Millsap and Gary Kunkel. She was a graduate of Maryville High School and had worked as a United Auto Worker at the Ford Motor Company in Claycomo, MO.

She was united in marriage to Steve Oglesby on August 24, 1996, at Bridal Cave in Camdenton, MO.

Preceding her in death were her maternal grandparents, O.L. "Buster" and Betty Simmons; paternal grandparents, George and Lula Kunkel; stepfather, Buster Millsap; stepbrother, Charlie Millsap; and a brother-in-law, Kirby Oglesby.

Survivors include husband, Steve, and daughter, Sydney Blue Oglesby, of the home, St. Joseph; two stepdaughters, Jessie (Jason) White, Maryville, and Paige (Randy) Simpson, Holton, KS; mother, Elaine Millsap, Ravenwood, MO; two brothers, Randy Kunkel and Jeff (Holly) Kunkel, both of Maryville; one sister, Kayla (Brian) Tritten, Ravenwood, step-brother, Vernon Millsap, Des Moines, IA, step-sister, Pam Fry, Creston, IA; four grandchildren, Walker and Kaylee Ross, and Gabe and Gavin Simpson; father, Gary Kunkel, Cameron, MO; mother-in-law, Shirley Reynolds, Maryville, MO; father-in-law, Vilas (Linda) Oglesby, St. Joseph; and numerous other relatives and friends.

Karla's body has been cremated. A family visitation will be held from
5:30-7:30 PM, Wednesday, September 5, 2012, at the Price Funeral Home, Marvyille, followed by a memorial service at 7:30 PM. Inurnment will be at a later date.

Memorials may be sent to the Multiple Sclerosis Association.
