Mrs. K. (Kate) Anderson Last Rites Held at Fahlun Church
Funeral services for Mrs. Kate Anderson were held at the Roy and Larson Funeral Home in Osakis Thursday, October 30, at 1:30 p.m. and at the Fahlun Lutheran Church at 2:30.
Interment was in the Nelson Cemetery. Rev. Harold Manson officiated.
Mrs. Blakey, Mrs. Willard Johnson and Pastor Manson were the soloists. Mrs. Reuben Bolin was organist.
The pallbearers were her five grandsons and one great-grandsons; DeLyle Olson, Marlin Olson, Reuben Sibell, Wallace Sibell, David Plagman and Dwayne Marquette.
Mrs. Kate Anderson was born at Chaska, Minnesota, Nov. 23, 1886 and passed away after a lingering illness, at the Douglas County Hospital in Alexandria on October 27, 1958, at the age of 71 years, 11 months and four days.
As a young girl, Mrs. Anderson moved to Todd County with her parents and lived most of her life in and around Osakis. She was preceded in death by her husband, two children, two great grandchildren, her parents, three sisters and one brother.
Survivors include all six children. Mrs. Ernest Sibell and Mrs. Herbert Olson of Nelson, Minnesota; Oscar Swor of Morris, Illinois; Donald Anderson, Salt Lake City, Utah; Mrs. Marvin Plagman of Alexandria and Delmer Anderson of Sacramento, Calif.; also 22 grandchildren and 31 great grandchildren, three sisters, Mrs. Frank Rutten, Mrs. Lena Swor and Mrs. Margaret Jenkins and one brother, John Dohman.

Katherine first was married to Swore, had several children, then to Nels C. Anderson and had two children:
Evelyn and Delmer with Anderson.

Katherine was also known as Catherine and as Kate. Catherine's father was Peter John Dohman, and his parents were Arnold Hubert and Maria Agatha Coumann Dohman. Peter was born in Einighausen, Holland August 20, 1851, and his father passed away before Peter John and his mother and seven siblings immigrated to Laketown Township, Carver County Minnesota. Catherine's mother, Louisa's (aka Louise) parents were born in France. Both Peter and Louisa are buried in the St. Nicholas Catholic Church Cemetery, Belle River, MN.
