Kimberly Jo (Nindle-Buckner) Simms, 54, of Old Fields (formerly of Fairmont), passed away Tuesday (Sept. 25, 2012) at The National Institute of Health in Bethesda, Md., after a valiant battle with cancer.

She was born Nov. 11, 1957 in Fairmont, daughter of the late Joseph Ludwig Nindle and Shirley Romayne Coburn-Kosic.

She is survived by her loving husband, Jeffery Allen Simms, and her three children, Carl "Trae" Randolph Buckner III of Morgantown, Ryan Lynn Buckner of San Francisco, Calif., and Justin Randall Simms of Keedysville, Md. She was the proud "Grammy" of her one and only grandson, Braiden Zane Buckner. Kim was also loved and adored by so many friends.

During her life she enjoyed gardening, cooking, camping and vacationing at the beach. She was a Steelers, Redskins and a West Virginia Mountaineer football fan. She loved riding motorcycles, had her motorcycle license and was proud that she could drive her own bike. She celebrated each and every day and always looked at everything she faced with the most positive attitude.

The family had a private ceremony to spread her ashes Saturday, Sept. 29.

Anyone wishing to make a donation in honor of Kim's life may do so by donating to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, Donor Services, P.O. Box 4072, Pittsfield, MA 01202, or www.lls.org.
