Teresa M. Snow, MSgt, U.S.M.C. (nee Pierce), 39, of Odenton, and formerly from Plattsburgh, NY and Springville, NY, died at home September 13, surrounded by loving family.

She was born June 13, 1973 in Cheyenne, WY., and was affectionately known at "T." Her early years were spent in Germany, Plattsburgh, NY and many summers at her grandparents, Howard and MaryAnn Jordan's farm in Springville, NY. She was a 1991 graduate of Ramstein American High School in Germany, and a 2012 graduate of University of Maryland, University College with a B.S. in Business Management.

She began her military career with the United States Marine Corps in August 1993 with Basic Training at Marine Corps Recruit Depot, Parris Island, SC where she was awarded Honor Graduate and meritorious promotion upon completion of her course. Her first duty assignment was Camp Butler, Okinawa, Japan. She was then assigned to the Marine Corps Logistics Base, Albany, GA. Upon completion of that tour, she was assigned to Marine Forces Reserve, New Orleans, LA. Her next adventure was at Inspector & Instructor Staff, Detachment A, Washington, DC. While there she was selected to serve on Special Duty to the Armed Forces Inaugural Command, for the 54th Presidential Inauguration. Next she was assigned to the Publishing and Logistics Branch, Headquarters Marine Corps, Arlington, VA. As a follow-on, she volunteered for a special duty assignment at Marine Corps Recruiting Station, Morristown, NJ. Next she was stationed at Inspector & Instructor Staff, India Company, 3rd Battalion, 25th Marines, 4th Marine Division, Buffalo, NY, followed by duty at Headquarters Marine Aircraft Group-14, 2nd Marine Air Wing, Cherry Point, NC. MSgt Snow volunteered for duty in support of Operation Enduring Freedom where she served as the Supply Chief for Marine Aviation Logistics Squadron-40 at Camp Leatherneck, Afghanistan. Most recently she was assigned to the Wounded Warrior Battalion, Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, Bethesda, where she was a colon cancer patient.

MSgt Snow's awards included: Joint Service Commendation Medal; Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal; Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (4); Navy Meritorious Unit Commendation; Marine Corps Good Conduct Medal (6); National Defense Service Medal (2); Afghanistan Campaign Medal; Global War on Terrorism Service Medal; Military Outstanding Volunteer Service Medal; Sea Service Deployment Ribbon; Navy and Marine Corps Overseas Service Ribbon; Marine Corps Recruiting Ribbon; numerous Certificates of Commendation; Certificates of Appreciation; Meritorious Mast and Letters of Appreciation.

She was a member of Our Lady of the Fields Roman Catholic Church, Millersville. She was a lifetime member of the Springville VFW #5260 and the Springville American Legion Post #431. She also volunteered with DEFY (Drug Education for Youth) and Young Marines. She was the Western NY Coordinator for Toys for Tots for three years.
In her spare time, Teresa enjoyed spending time with her family; loved dogs, especially Simba; annual Hog Holiday event; motorcycles and reading.
She was pre-deceased by her maternal grandfather, Howard Jordan; and paternal grandparents, Anita and Frank Pierce.

She is survived by her parents, Gail K. (nee Jordan) and Keith Marsh of Gambrills; her father, Tom Pierce of MS, brothers and sisters: Alex Pierce of Plattsburg, NY; Jillian Pierce of Plattsburgh, NY; Alex Marsh of Glen Burnie; Nikki Marsh of Belleville, IL; grandparents: MaryAnn Jordan of Springville; Earl Frederick Keen of Rochester, NH; and several nieces and nephews, many loving aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Funeral services were held Monday, September 17, from St. Aloysius Church of Springville, NY. Burial was in St. Aloysius cemetery. A memorial service in her memory will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, October 6, at Our Lady of the Fields Roman Catholic Church, 1070 Cecil Avenue, South; Millersville, MD 21108.
