Benjamin was survived by 3 sons: Benjamin Jr. of Medanales, Seledon of Abiquiu, and Freddie of Albuquerque; 3 daughters: Vitalia Martinez of Rio Chama, Olivia Lopez of Santa Fe, and Flora Garcia of Albuquerque; 24 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren; and other relatives.
Benjamin was US Army veteran of World War II and a Northern New Mexico rancher. He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars and La Sociedad de San Jose.
Funeral services were on May 22nd in the St. Thomas Church in Abiquiu. Burial was in the Abiquiu Cemetery.
