Funeral services are Monday, (December 19, 1988) at noon at St. Peter Catholic Church for Georgine Breaux, 66, the former Georgine Guidry, who died Sunday at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Lafayette. Burial is in the church cemetery.
Frs. Roy Edwards and Gayle Nunez will concelebrate mass. Rhule Guilbeaux will be Eucharistic minister.
Survivors include her husband, Rev Mr. Lester P Breaux, Carencro, five sons, Paul and Robert Breaux of Carencro, George Breaux, Humble, Texas, Charles Breaux, with the U.S. Navy in Charleston, S.C., and Mike Breaux, Lafayette; two daughters, Mrs. Dorothy Trahan, Carencro, and Mrs. Mary "Mag" Breaux, Broussard; two brothers, Floyd Guidry, Carencro, and Chester Guidry, Lafayette; six sisters, Mrs Wilfred (Mary Lou) Desormeaux, Labadeieville, Mrs. Honary (Elba) Credeur, New Orleans Mrs. Lloyd (Elia) Martin, Houston, Mrs Melvin (Gladys) Camel, Lafayette, Mrs. Althius (Mabel) Miller, Sunset and Mrs. Francis (Lena) Braquet, Carencro; 15 grandchildren; and one great-grandson.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Sostine Guidry (Mrs Guidry was the former Emirada Breaux); a daughter, Elaine Motlow; two brothers, Jules and George Guidry.
Mrs. Breaux was a native and lifelong resident of Carencro and is the mother of School Board member Robert "T-Bro" Breaux, District D. She was a member of St. Anne Society, Bonne Morte Society, and V.P. of Broussard and Breaux Lumber Co. for 20 years.
Visitation is today (December 18, 1988) from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Monday from 8 a.m. to services.
A rosary is today at 7 p.m.
Pallbearers are Paul, George , Charles, Robert, Lonnie, and Kevin Breaux; honorary pallbearers are Michael and Mag Breaux, Dorothy Trahan, Mindy Dawes and Jenny Matlow.
