Mr. David Mardis, of Blacklick Township, died on Tuesday evening, October 30, aged 72 years. His wife died a number of years ago, but the following children survive the parents: George, Daniel, Tobias, David, Elizabeth and Annie. Interment was made in the Lutheran chapel cemetery, near Graceton, on Thursday. (THE INDIANA PROGRESS, WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 7, 1900)
