M. Ruth Carter, 91, a homemaker, died Sunday, Aug. 22, 2004, in Fort Worth at the home of a niece, losing her battle with cancer.
Ruth was born Jan. 17, 1913, in Paducah to Isacc and Ida Mae Fuller. She had resided for many years in Longview, where her home was the neighborhood meeting place. You loved her instantly, and her humor and courage was phenomenal.
She was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters; four brothers; husbands, C.A. Rankin and Davis Carter; and infant son, Milton Chambers.
