Harold Ray Brewer, 80, of Sedalia, died Saturday, July 22, 2006, at Bothwell Regional Health Center.

He was born Jan. 20, 1926, in Locksprings, Missouri, a son of Oliver Thomas and Zena Mae Straight Brewer.

Mr. Brewer was a member of American Legion Post 642. He retired from Trenton Transit Mix after 28 years. He enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, camping and making wood crafts. He lived in Trenton and Sedalia most of his life.

He was an Army veteran of the Korean War, serving from January 1951 to January 1953, followed by four years of inactive duty.

Surviving are three daughters, Linda Felzien, Gerrie Jackson, and Kay Vieth, and her husband, Roger, all of Sedalia; five grandchildren, Amanda Brewer, Stefanie Barlow, Amy Bland, Deric Vieth and Rachel Vieth; and three great grandchildren, Alexis Sisemore, Tyler Boatman and Taylor Brewer.

He was predeceased by two brothers, Cecil Brewer and Virgil Brewer; and three sisters, Etta Pettengil, Edith Cooksey and Myrtle Terry.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Heckart/Gillespie Colonial Chapel, with the Rev. Steve Palmer and Seth Barlow officiating.

Pallbearers will be Gary Kreisler, Gavin Neth, Butch Vieth, Doug Thomas, Larry Perriguey and Kevin Ash.

Honorary pallbearers will be Lonnie Wilson, Darrell Cornwell, Paul Huddleston, Brian Baxter, Michael "Yogi" Anderson, Jim Treece, Rich Whitener, Brent Stevenson and Jerry Brown.

Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
