Emma married John Lambert Bridges, son of Sarah Frances (Inge) and Dr. Thaddeus Rowin Bridges, on June 23, 1909. She was employed in the office at the old Bridges Creamery, retiring in 1938. She was member of the pioneer Bigham family of Wyandotte County. Her father, Franklin Bigham, was the first of the Wyandotte County surveyors and laid out many of the roads.
She was a member of the Western Highlands United Presbyterian Church. She was also a member of the Mendias Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star and a past worthy matron; a member of the White Shrine of Jerusalem and a past high priestess; a member of the Scottish Rite Ladies;
and the Social Order of Beauceant.
