Henry D. Branning, who was reared in Oregon Twp., Wayne county, PA, settled in Luzerne county in 1876, and since 1884 has been a resident of Wilkes-Barre, engaged in general merchandising. His wife was a daughter of Asa And Eleanor (Smith) Maloney, of Wayne County, Pa, and by her he had two children, Judd, and Edith M.
The funeral of Henry Branning was held from the home of his daughter, Mrs. May Rems Old River road yesterday afternoon at 2 oclock. Services were held by Rev. C.H. Frick and Rev. J.E.Hone of Duryea. The floral pieces were carried by Nicholas Macking. William Kliner and William Brodhead. The pall bearers were William Jenkins, Samuel Walp, J.E.Fraley, John Hershberger, John Evans, and Deloss Guinnip. Internment was in Hollenback cemetery.
