Lora married Gradon Burt about 1918. They lived in Snyder and had two children. He was a rancher and stock trader and died in an automobile accident in 1937. Lora moved to Abilene where she raised her two children and worked for Eunice Blouse Manufacturing Company. She married Richard Paul Helwig Dec. 18, 1952 in the First Christian Church in Abilene, after which they moved to the Dub Wooten Ranch two miles west of Buffalo Gap where Mr. Helwig was the ranch foreman. Mr. Helwig's first wife Una Mae Riggins had died in January of 1951.
