Deceased Name: Albert Henry Busch Jr.80, of Monroe City, Mo.
Albert Henry Busch Jr., 80, of Monroe City, Mo., died Friday, Feb. 3, 2012, at the Monroe City Manor Care Center.
A private burial will be held at a later date at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Jacksonville, Mo.
Albert was born on July 30, 1931, in East St.
Louis, Ill., to Albert Henry and Hazel Irene (Biggs) Busch.
Mr. Busch served his country during the Korean War in the United States Army.
On Nov. 25, 1949, in Troy, Albert married Joyce Hamrick.
Along with his wife of 62 years, Mr. Busch is survived by three daughters, Lere Busch of Monroe City, Brenda Hatton (Chris) of San Jose, Calif., and Mona Stolz (Rick) of Orangevale, Calif.; a son, Trent Busch (Ronda) of Muscatine, Iowa; 11 grandchildren; five great grandchildren; a brother, Eugene "Jim" Busch (Aline) of Ellington, Fla.; a sister, Geraldine Harrell of Hawk Point, Mo.; and several nieces and nephews.
Albert was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Kenneth Busch; and a sister, Alberta Howdeshell.
Albert and Joyce lived 14 years in Kewanee, Ill.
They lived 14 years in Hannibal, they lived for 14 years in Hunnewell, and have currently lived in Monroe City for 11 years.
Albert retired from BNSF Railroad after 43 years of service. During his time with BNSF he worked with the Bridge and Building Department as a derek operator.
He really enjoyed fishing, camping and card playing.
Memorial donations are suggested to the Monroe City Nutrition Center or the Monroe City Christian Church, in care of Yager-Kendrick Funeral Home, 545 Stoddard St. Monroe City, MO 63456.
