David C. Bloomfield was born the 6th child of David Sr. and Rachel (Barclay) Bloomfield in Cane Ridge, Bourbon, KY.
He married Hannah Lambert on Sept. 14, 1820 in Preble Co., OH. They were the parents of Levi. Hannah died in 1838.He married Sarah E. Shockey on Aug. 11, 1840 in IL. They were the parents of Cynthia, Amanda, John D. Albert G. Arthur C., & Elie E. They raised and adopted Cynthia's sons, Odius F. and Claudis.
David and Sarah migrated from IL to NE 1882 to Kearney Co.,
