Harold G. Baker, age 70 of Sauk Centre, formerly of Blaine, died suddenly at his winter home in Mission, Texas on Wednesday, November 11, 2009.

Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, November 21 at the Patton-Schad Funeral Home in Sauk Centre. Military honors will be provided by the Sauk Centre United Veterans Honor Guard followed by inurnment in St. Paul's Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

Harold Baker was born August 27, 1939 in Madelia, Minnesota to Harold and Myrtle (Reckard) Baker. He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1960 to 1964. He had worked for Xerox for several years and resided in Blaine. On June 9, 1990 he married Diane (Cokely) Christians in Anoka, Minnesota. He retired in 1998 and the couple moved to Sauk Centre.Harold enjoyed 11 years of full-time RVing, campfires, and fishing, but especially looked forward to getting together with the guys he used to work with.

Survivors include, his wife of 19 years, Diane Baker of Sauk Centre; daughter, Kristine (Curt) Johnson of Lake Elmo; step-children, Ken (Joanne) Christians of Mounds View, Debra (Carl) Winter of Blaine, Tina (Jeff) Abbott of Monticello; two grandchildren, Tara (Jim) Gulbranson and Justin Case, all of Coon Rapids; four step-grandchildren, Ryan Carlson, Alicia Christians, Brooke and Anna Winter; brothers and sister, Ronald (Janice ) Baker of Lake Crystal, Robert (Janet) Baker of Mankato, Rita (Wayne) Miest of Hastings; and many other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and step-parents.Serving as urn bearers will be his sister and brothers, Rita Miest, Ronald and Robert Baker.
